Rice Cereal!

Adelynn has had many "firsts" this week. She turned four months on Saturday, and so we took her to the pediatrician on Monday for her 4 month check up. She weighs 14 lbs and 2 oz, which is in the 75th percentile. So, she's a fattie, and I guess she is getting enough calories from the breast milk! So far we have fed her rice cereal three times. The first time went well, but the second time she knocked the bowl out of my hand and it went everywhere. My sister Lawna said, "Welcome to motherhood". Last night was the first time I put her in her highchair to eat, and she LOVED it. I think she mostly liked being able to sit up. She wants to sit up SO bad, but she just hasn't developed enough yet. Also, last night was her first night in her OWN room (but I cheated and slept in there with her). She did so well! In her crib, she has a lot more room to move around, and she likes it. Hopefully I can quit being a baby and let her sleep in there all alone tonight. :) Okay, enough about the baby. But, I don't really have anything else to say.

She NEVER takes a pacifier, but she wanted one all day yesterday, so I got a picture.

Spring Break!

This week is Corey's Spring Break from school, so I have been able to see him a little bit more than usual. He still sleeps all day because his schedule is all off from working nights. But, we actually went on a date last night to the movie, "Definatley, Maybe". It was so CUTE, there was even a part that made me cry. Then, we went for a drive to put the baby to sleep. It is nice to be able to have Corey at home at night to help out with Adelynn (it doesn't happen very often). Sometimes I wonder what our lives would be like if he didn't have school (I haven't ever known him when he wasn't in college). Well, I just thought I would write a little diddy about that movie, and recommend it to you all. Peace Out.

Happy Birthday Corey!

It was also my sister, Naomi's birthday!

Corey blew his candles out in one BIG breath!

Corey turned 25, on Wednesday the 5th. He had a great day and was lucky enough to be surrounded with friends and family that day (he didn't have to work, or do homework)! Thanks to everyone who remembered him on his special day! He got spoiled.

Last weekend Corey was kind enough to drive me home to Idaho. I hadn't been since July and he hadn't been there since May. So, we thought it was about time we go home and show Adelynn "my old stompin' grounds". Some of the highlights of our visit were meeting Ethan's (my brother) girlfriend, seeing my niece and nephew (they are adorable). And, Adelynn got to meet her Great-Grandma and Grandpa Koyle. The worst part of our visit was the nasty wind, I don't think it ever stops blowing in Idaho. But, overall I was glad that I could go home to Heyburn and see everyone!

Having Fun

We love her!

Me, with highlights.

I get so excited when Adelynn kicks her spiders. She's a karate kid!

Adelynn being BIG in her doorway bouncer ( I know they're old school).

So...Corey and I decided that instead of him worrying about getting me a gift on Valentine's Day, I would just get my hair highlighted. Well, it's a good thing I already decided what I was getting myself, because he forgot Valentine's Day, because his schedule is all messed up because he works nights. Anyway, I got my hair highlighted yesterday for the first time ever. So, I thought I would include a picture of my hair.
Corey also had to go to Ogden for school on Tuesday of this week, so we stayed with my Aunt Angela and Uncle Mike for two days. We had a lot of fun. Adelynn likes to get out, and see knew faces. She gets sick of me singing the same songs and playing with the same toys. So, Angela and Mike took us downtown to the Gateway Mall, and Corey and I picked out a new laptop. We are very excited about our purchase and glad to have something reliable for Corey to do his schoolwork on. We (that's right, I help) are just staying busy with Corey being in school and hopefully when he is done with this semester we can actually travel and come visit you all.

Ready to go to church!

Corey had a Nursing Convention at UVSC on Sat the 9th, so we were able to go visit Grandma June and Grandpa Dick. And, because their house is the popular place to be we got to see cousins, aunts, and uncles too. Eileen was really sick with pneumonia, that was sad. But, she is starting to feel better. Corey came home from the convention and started talking about the Army Nursing Corps. He is seriously thinking about joining Army Nursing so that he can eventually apply to their Masters program. He talked to a recuiter yesterday and we just might end up going for it! The recuiter said that you have to join with the idea that you will be deployed and then if you aren't than that's all good. I say that's scary.
