Pooping!?!

So, I will spare you the pictures, but Corey and I have had an awful twenty four hours with Adelynn. She wont stop pooping! I change her diaper about every half hour, and as a result she has a nasty diaper rash. We have plastered it with powder and Desitin. Nothing has helped, she just SCREAMS everytime we wipe it. I thought that putting her in the bathtub would make her feel better. She started crying and wouldn't sit down in the tub. She just SCREAMED, and I started crying because I didn't know what to do to help her. She wont sit down, and she wont drink anything but her bottle. We've tried Pedialyte, and she wont eat much. Which could be good, because she threw up yesterday too. I feel like I have spent all weekend doing her laundry, changing diapers, and listening to Corey complain about how much pain he is in (did I mention he is sick too?) They are finally both asleep, so I am venting. I'm suppose to be at church teaching my lesson, but I felt like my family needed me more. So, I am at home watching BYU devotionals and folding laundry. The joys of motherhood! Some days it isn't worth it, and other days it is sooo worth it. Good thing we have a balance to appreciate it all. :)

New President!

I just had to say how much fun I had teaching my students about our new president today. We watched a little of the Inaugaration and I taught them a little about President Obama. One of my students said, "Why did the people have to vote, why couldn't we just base it on who the better guy was?" (Here in Utah, most people thing that McCain was the better guy) I couldn't stop laughing and had to explain that there are actually a lot of people who thought Obama would make a better President. It's funny what kids say, one of them said, "I didn't know the President had a wife", and another said, "You mean he's ONLY the President of America, not the whole world?" I forget how much second graders still have to learn about the world around them. Anyway, happy Inauguration Day!

New Year Update!

Yes, that is Captian in our apartment! Ange and Mike came this weekend to visit. We went on some COLD walks with the dog, and hung out together. By the way, we don't get visitors very often and it was nice to have them come. You are all invited to come anytime! There isn't much in Roosevelt, but WE are here. :)
She is SOOO strong! She loved the dogs bone.

She found her nose, and loves to give her kisses. She's the perfect sibling for Addie, and she has been in the family for over twenty years!

Adelynn with my Cabbage Patch doll (her name is Bonnie).

Addie got mad that I put on her pajamas that have feet on them. She wouldn't quit screaming, so I cute them off! Then, she walked around with the "feet" on her hands.

Life has really settled down now that Corey isn't in school anymore. It is nice to come home from work and be able to sit on the couch with Corey and watch TV instead of write a paper or finish an assignment. I love it! He isn't as stressed and that has helped the stress level of the entire family. He spends his days with Adelynn, or sleeping, and his nights in the emergency room. He loves the ER, and is looking for reasons to work overtime (like paying off debt).

As for me, I am halfway through the school year, and I feel like it is the mid-year slump. The students are rude and crazy, and I am starting to feel stressed about them reaching the reading goals for mid-year. Second graders should be reading 68 words a minute by the end of January, and that is a lot of stress for the teacher! Overall, I am thankful for the opportunity I have to make a difference (hopefully, that's what I'm doing?!?) Anyway, I was suppose to go to school today to put in grades and work in my classroom. But, I figured it would be a perfect day to stay at home and relax with Addie. I love being at home with her, she brings me books all the time and wants to be read to 24/7. We have fun together, but I like her nap time as much as she does, because then I can blog!

Christmas/New Years

My nativity I got for a discount, can you tell which piece is missing?

Grandma and Grandpa Woollard on New Year's Eve, Grandpa is exhausted from a crazy game of spoons!

Happy 16th Birthday today Kristen. You're beautiful!

Adelynn likes to give her baby dolls kisses, and climbs in her toy box often.

Cutie!

Mom, Eileen, and Robin (these are our natural expressions)

Corey just woke up, but Adelynn got a cool toy for Christmas!

Addie playing with her new stroller and baby dolls. What an awesome Mom she will be.

Strutting her stuff on Christmas!

I don't have much time to write, Adelynn is awake and hates it when I don't have my attention on her. But, I thought I would post some pictures from Christmas and New Years. We were lucky enough to see both families during the holidays, so there are a few pictures from our trip to Idaho as well. I start school tomorrow again, it will be hard to go back after getting use to sleeping in until nine. We've been in school for 79 days, so only about 101 days left (You can make it Ange)! After spending the majority of my Christmas break with Adelynn I decided it is MUCH harder to be a stay at home mom. Hats off to all you stay at home moms, how do you stay sane?
