Winter Fun!

It has turned into that time of the year when I'm waiting for winter to hurry and go away, just so that we can go outside and bask in the sun. I actually didn't think that I felt this way until I talked to one of my sisters on the phone and the whole time I was telling her about ALL my big plans for summer. I am actually just excited for March, two new babies are joining the family, and then Spring will be here before we know it!

In an attempt to entertain ourselves Adelynn and I went to Angela's classroom today. The kids were so cute. One girl named Jenny wrote us a Valentine poem, "Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, Thank you for coming, we all like you!" As you can see the teacher (Ange) REALLY likes Fridays and Valentine Parties!

When she wasn't looking, I got a better picture!

Adelynn had a neighborhood Valentine party yesterday with all of her little friends. They decorated cupcakes, and played. But, when I told her to smile, this is what she did. :)

Corey and I had our first experience at Red Lobster celebrating Eileen's birthday. We had lots of good laughs together!

Bathtime!

Daddy is so COOL! He does "pretties" with Addie.

Adelynn! This is the picture I entered in the "Live with Regis and Kelly" photo contest, it's actually harder than it looks to get a decent picture of her smiling.

She got snow gear for Christmas and wanted to try it out, too bad there was no snow!

Addie had pneumonia this past month, but she still had energy to put money in her piggy bank.

An Education on Vibram Footwear

So...Corey found his newest obsession, he spent many hours researching and studying the joys of walking, hiking, or running with this amazing shoe! This is what their website says: "Remember going barefoot as a child? It’s the way you first discovered and conquered your world—without the constraint of shoes. Or the sense of duty you acquired later on. Now you can experience that same physical and visceral sensation in Vibram FiveFingers—the only footwear to offer the exhilarating joy of going barefoot with the protection and sure-footed grip of a Vibram® sole."

Who knew, that someone could actually make money on a shoe that works just like toe socks?!? We went in the Salt Lake Running Store tonight, and he tried them on. They said that they are so popular right now, that they just barely got them in stock and that they are VERY hard to find. (I think they just wanted to sell us a shoe). But, we walked out with these blue Avatar looking shoes(rubber gloves)for Corey to run and hike in! Too funny, and the greatest part is that Corey REALLY wanted me to try them on too, but I have webbed toes. So, you guessed it, these shoe makers actually discriminate against those of us with webbed feet. So, I am just going to have to keep hiking in my flip-flops in order to get that bare-foot feeling. :)

Christmas!

I thought I would FINALLY post some pictures from our Christmas in Idaho. I hadn't been home (to Idaho) for Christmas for 3 years. So, I was very excited to be with all my siblings. It was a great time, we went to movies, ate great food, and had some fun surprises from Santa! Here are some pictures of our time in Idaho. They aren't in chronological order, but you get the idea. We are looking forward to the new year, and hope you all have a happy one!

Addie HATES the sun in her eyes!

Carter and his Spiderman webmaster.

Britanna with her Moxi doll.

Malia loves her Hello Kitty from Makayla!

Adelynn got an umbrella from Santa!

Addie also got a Barbie.

After all the presents were open, we played CatchPhrase, and my Dad said that Layne should try this. The answer was: online dating. It was hilarious to hear that from my Dad!

Adelynn is ready for the snow!

Corey was so sweet, and got me a locket.

Addie and Mom opening stockings.

Corey with his stocking.

My Mom cooked an amazing Christmas dinner. We had turkey, ham, potatoes, yams, salads, rolls, and stuffing. Yummy!

Britanna and Carter wrote a letter to Santa.

Our little family!

Malia and Addie went to see "The Princess and the Frog" together. It was Addie's first movie ever, and she did really well. Until she started screaming,"I poopy".

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
I bet you can't guess what she is thinking!

Yum!

We went to the library to see Santa, and Addie was terrified. So...Mom ended up on his lap, and Addie was so comfortable with the situation that she decided to pick her nose. Corey didn't understand the IMPORTANCE of getting a great picture of this moment. So...this is the only picture we have of Addie on Santa's lap. It's going down in history!
We were lucky enough to go to the Mormon Tabernacle Christmas concert the other night, thanks to some awesome babysitters, and our friends Diana and Cameron. We had a great time!

Our REAL Christmas tree (Corey wheeled and dealed, and got us a great deal)

क्रिसमस कार्ड पिक्टुरेस!

Take note of my title. What in the heck does that say? Well, it is suppose to say Christmas Card Pictures. However, it seems as if blogger insists on playing tricks on me each time I try to blog. grrr!

It's obvious that these pictures aren't professional, but I would like to thank Eileen for snapping some pictures of us. I had a few people who got my Christmas card in the mail, and wanted to know why I cut Corey's head off the top of the picture. All I can say is that it was a technical error, and he said that "there's nothing up there anyway". So, here is the photo without his head chopped off. Merry Christmas!

Temples!

Adelynn likes to call EVERY tall building a temple. In fact when we drove through Las Vegas, she kept saying "Pretty temple" to all the big buildings. As we were driving through the desert to California she started screaming, "Where'd the temples go?" She was very bored. Anyway, I thought it might help her if we actually went and saw some temples. Since we are lucky enough to have three temples very close to us we drove around for about an hour and visited the temples. Actually it ended up being more like two hours, because Addie wanted to stop at McDonalds and get chicken nuggets, and then Corey got lost. It was hilarious! He was driving north and he thought he was going west. I kept telling him he was going the wrong way, and he said, "I know where I am going". Then, I heard those magical words, "I think you are right!" It was a great memory. And, Addie was so cute when she first saw the temple she said, "Pretty, Shiny!"

Robin's Month in Review

Robin turned 27!

Addie let Aunt Kayla do her hair.

We went camping and hunting for MANY days with Corey's family! I read the entire time, and enjoyed the fresh air.

Corey found pinenuts, that he thought were the coolest.

Hanging out by the fire with Uncle Casey.

Good thing Addie had her doll to keep her company in the woods.

Hunting, Together!

Looking for the dears and the does with Uncle Kayden.

A Sad Day. :( We sold Corey's beloved truck.

Halloween Party with Adelynn's friend.

Went to Idaho for Halloween, really I just wanted one of my Grandma's popcorn balls! Aren't the cousins cute?!?

Our little ladybug!

Adelynn turned TWO on Nov. 8th. She's getting so big, and too smart.
