Corey and I went to the McDonald's drive up to order drinks before we headed up the canyon to "throw our line in" (fish). As we pulled up to make our payment there was a sign that read, "Due to the rising costs of fuel we can no longer offer our double cheeseburgers and spicy chicken sanwiches for $1. The new price will be $1.49." What is this world coming to? The DOLLAR menu is no longer the dollar menu because of fuel prices?!? Give me a break, I think that everyone is suffering due to the cost of fuel prices, but the dollar menu at a billion dollar restaurant? This is a sign that things are going to get worse before they get better! It just really hit me, and I realized how much power whomever owns all this damn fuel really has. What a crazy world we live in. I know it is a stupid thing, it's really only 49 more cents for a sandwich that made me gain sixty pounds (while I was pregnant). However, it's much bigger than that.
oh, my you can't get anywhere with a dollar anymore. Yikes!!

ReplyDeleteI know it looks bad. Lets think postive. if we are prepared we will be fine. Maybe we will all be living in the same house to save expenses. think of the good bonding time. candy bars sounds great for dinner. little clean up
ReplyDeleteno cooking tastes great. most people will like them. I keep hoping it will get better If itr doesn't we will ssstick together after all we are family.
