I haven't done a very good job of actually WRITING on my blog. So, I'm going to give it a shot tonight, and of course include some pictures. Things are going well for all of us, we are feeling very blessed to have our jobs (three, to be exact). Most days I see Corey for a total of two hours, since he works at least four night shifts each week. And, then on his days off I am usually working in the office at our apartments. But, whenever we do have a day off together we make sure to make the best of it! Some of these include: camping, fishing, visiting family, and this week we took a trip to The Kennecott Copper Mine (see pictures below).
Well, ever since I first met Corey he has been talking about his goal of becoming a Nurse Anesthetist. It has been a LONG road, jumping through many hoops just to get into nursing school, and working in the ICU has been a challenge. Not to mention the deadly GRE! We still have a LONG road ahead, but we have finally narrowed down which schools to apply to. Notice how I keep saying "we", since I married Corey his goal has now become OUR goal. :) I'm actually getting kind of restless in Salt Lake, and I'm looking forward to going somewhere totally foreign. Out of 108 nurse anesthesia schools, we have chosen seven that we will be applying to. I should probably mention that his chances of getting in are about 1 out of 150+ applicants. So, if any of you out there have some ties with God, we could use your help! The schools are:
1. Mayo Clinic: Rochester, Minnesota
2. Raleigh School of Nurse Anesthesia: Greensboro, North Carolina
3. Medical University of South Carolina: Charleston, South Carolina
4. Kaiser Permanente: Fullerton, California (everyone has already warned us about the HUGE cost of living)
5. University of Pittsburg: Pittsburg, Pennsylvania
6. CAMC Institute: Charleston, West Virginia
7. Wolford College: Naples, Florida
I typed this up mostly for our parents! They keep asking where we might end up, so now it is in writing for them. :)
I am officially thirty weeks pregnant! So, only 10+ weeks to go. I was pregnant with Addie for about 42 weeks, so we will see when this little guy decides to come?!? I have been having regular contractions this past week; my CNM (certified nurse midwife) is wanting me to take it easy. But, I just kind of laughed and let her know that I would be lucky if he comes on his own. I thank God everyday that Corey and I bought a new bed (Sleep Number) in July; I have had NO back pain since we bought it. I am totally sold, and I'm in love with my bed!
Adelynn is getting so big (tall), and she's the same stubborn girl she was from day one! We are in the process of potty training, and it is such a PROCESS! It seems like every day I have to come up with a new incentive to get her to go. Other than that she can't wait for her baby brother to get here (I'm sure that will change once he is here). So, I am one of those people who could just talk and talk, or write and write, but I'll spare you my endless thoughts and get to the pictures.
Addie is comparing herself to the BIG tires at the mine!
Mom and Addie at the mine.
We tried to go fishing, we haven't caught anything this whole summer. But, Addie kept telling people that we caught worms. :)
Addie shared her bows with Dad.
Fishing!

Corey finally got his beloved treadmill (a story for another time), but thanks to everyone who helped us get it in our apartment!
Addie fell asleep on my belly tonight, and this is me at 30 weeks prego!
Aw...don't move so far away!!! We'll miss you guys, but we wish you all the best. :) What's the story on this little boy, do you guys have a name yet?
ReplyDeleteYou have room for a treadmill?
ReplyDeleteCute pictures. Congrats on blogging and getting a title on your post!
ReplyDeleteYes, Corey has a name picked, and it has grown on me. He's going to be named Jack Corbin Anderson. And, no Layne we don't have room for a treadmill!
ReplyDeleteWhen Malia saw the last picture she said, "Is her havin' 1 baby or 2 babies?" ;-)
