On June 17th and 18th Corey participated in the Ragnar Relay for the Wasatch Back! He had so much fun, and is trying to figure out which race he will do next. So, I thought I would share a few pictures from his 200 mile adventure from Logan, Ut to Park City, Ut. For those of you who are thinking, What is a Ragnar Relay? Please watch the video below:
Adelynn was Daddy's cheerleader! (I don't know why she is holding an avocado). But, she got so excited when we "stalked" Corey on his first run and found him running the streets in Hyrum, Ut. We honked and screamed out the window once we found him running! He is wearing his Ragnar shirt, his hat, and medal here.
This is his whole team, mostly made up of people he works with, and their friends. Their team name was The Gene Pool Lifeguards, and the back of their shirts said, "Got Chlorine?".
Aren't they a sexy bunch?!?
This is his team running into the finish line together!
I can't tell you how proud I am of my man! This was his first leg that he ran, it was 6.7 miles and he ran it in 53 minutes. Not to mention it was mostly up hill. On one of his runs he passed 81 people, he was pretty excited about that too!
Corey recovering from his big run!
I asked him to take a ton of pictures with my camera, and I got about six pictures out of him, and this was one of them.
We have no idea who she is.
So, the worst part is that it takes about two days to run this crazy race and he had a lack of sleep, but he is use to that with working nights and two kids around. But, that night he was talking in his sleep about running a marathon.
It made me laugh that he has really got the running bug! He talks about it so much that I finally gave in and bought running shoes and started trying to run. Basically, I will not be reporting how long it takes me to run a mile anytime soon. BLAH!
But, I'm grateful for Corey and his example of being motivated enough to improve his life in so many ways. Love you Babe!
Wooo Hoooo Corey! It looks fun and exhilarating
ReplyDeleteThat video made us laugh. Way to go, Corey! I thought I was your inspiration...where's my shout-out?
ReplyDeleteSorry Karson! I don't know how I forgot that his brother-in-law is actually the one who motivated Corey to begin with!
ReplyDeleteThat video is hilarious!! Congratulations Corey! My roomate did that same race and she came home absolutely exhausted and hurt.
ReplyDeleteCongrads Corey! Was that you in the video? LOL!
ReplyDeleteI think we are friends already - I ran the DC Ragnar last fall. Loved it! Yeah for runners....
