Hello North Carolina!

I have been wanting to blog, and go through a bunch of my pictures for about two weeks now. Instead, I have been unpacking boxes and juggling kids. Most of the boxes are unpacked now, but I haven't gotten to any of the fun decorating yet, I will have plenty of time for that later. Anyway, I have a TON of pictures from the past two months. I REALLY want to blog about saying goodbye to our families and friends in Utah, and how everyone was so good to us. We had a bunch of help and so many people stopped by in the last few days to say bye and give us goodies for our ride across the country. We have been so blessed with great friends and family.

I just downloaded all my pictures to my computer and there were 577 of them! Since that is so overwhelming to me, I am just going to blog about our time here in North Carolina. In the near future I hope to have time to blog about our trip across the country and saying goodbye to Utah, but for now I am going to give you all a little update on North Carolina!

We have been warmly welcomed here! We are lucky that within our apartment complex we have a good "mormon connection" to a bunch of good families. We have also been in contact with several student's at Raleigh School of Nurse Anesthesia who have been in the program. So, we have been blessed to make some great friends already.

The kids hanging out in our new apartment!

Adelynn standing outside our apartment (lots of trees, and no mountains)

BIG tree that I thought would fall into our aparment during the hurricane, but we got lucky!

A beautiful sunset in Raleigh

We spent a day at the Kid's Museum

Since our stuff hadn't arrived yet we hit the beach! We all saw the Atlantic Ocean for the first time together!
Addie was scared of the waves, but Jack just sat in them and loved them!
(Thanks to our new friends, The Browns, we had some beach gear) :)

Building a sandcastle with her Daddy!

 Buried together

 Goofy Jack

We went to Topsail Island, and this is the other side of the island at sunset. BEAUTIFUL!

Robin and Corey

 LOVE it!

My favorite picture of me with my little guy!

On Monday, August 15th our vacation officially ended; Corey started CRNA school!

That was also the day that ALL our stuff arrived:

Since then, we have been busy with school (studying), church, and putting our apartment together.
We made a trip to Garner, NC to pick up a free TV from a nice lady! And, I got very excited because it is the home of American Idol winner: Scotty McCreery.

Oh, and we had an earthquake and experienced our first hurricane! Since many of you have been wondering what the storm was like here in Raleigh I took some video footage for you all to enjoy!
(If I sound lame in the video, it's because the storm was a huge disappointment)

Corey's first day of school video!
