Corey with his car! Our ward had an Elder's Quorom get together with all the families and had a Pine Wood Derby race. It was a lot of fun! Corey didn't have much success though. He had spent a lot of time on his car a few weeks ago. He had it cut out and painted. So, all he needed were the wheels and weights on. Well, he procrastinated, and didn't end up putting the car together until about two hours before the event, because I made him. I found out the hard way that it takes a lot of effort to just stick on the wheels and weights. It didn't take long before he was giving up on the whole deal. But, we went anyway, and he ran his car. It didn't get stuck on the track! But, it was one of the slower cars. In the end, he won the "Best Fuel Economy" prize, for having the slowest car. Even though Corey didn't do very well there is a happy ending. My home-girl, Diana, made a car and she won 2nd PLACE! I was so proud of her, and her mad skills.
As for our lives, things have gotten crazy this week. I've been overwhelmed with school, housework, and chasing Adelynn, but I am thankful that the Lord has given us a day of rest, and that's exactly what I am doing!
That's awesome! :) I miss you guys, wish we could see you more often.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe we spaced the biggest party of the year - the Elder's Quorum Pinewood Derby! Sheesh! I am truly proud of Diana. Sounds like it was a lot of fun. I was kicking myself for not making Ronny participate when Cameron was talking about it in his talk. Oh well. Maybe next year, if by some misfortune we are still here. Ha ha.
