MyHeritage: Family tree - Genealogy - Celebrity - Collage - Morph
My blog is where I keep many of the memories I have created with my family and my children. I currently live over 2,500 miles from all 7 of my siblings, so this is a way for us to keep in touch through pictures and stories.

Las Vegas!
Corey, Adelynn, and I went to Las Vegas with his family for summer vacation. It was a lot of fun, but a TON of work with a baby. We were glad that we went with family, because then we had their help with Addie. We decided to fly, because it was fairly cheap, and it gave the kids a chance to fly. Vegas was SO HOTT, that we couldn't even relax by the pool. And, the plane engine wouldn't start because of the heat, so that was a little scary. But, they finally got it going. Most of us went to the David Copperfield show, and it was very awesome! We were three rows from the stage. I think I found my new crush. He made a rose out of tissue paper, and then lit it on fire, and it turned into a real rose. He gave it to a girl, but not me. :( He also made a car appear on the stage, and thirteen people (from the audience) disappear and reappear. WOW, I still wonder how he does it! Anyway, we had fun, and here are a few pictures from the trip.

Yikes!
Lately I haven't been able to take a shower without Addie screaming her guts out. She doesn't have a problem with me leaving, or doing anything else, just when I shower (she must know it's my time to take a break). So, yesterday I put her in her walker with some finger foods, and hid her in the kitchen while I enjoyed my shower. She had no problems, and we were all happy! So, I thought I found the perfect solution! This morning when I went to shower, I did the same thing, gave her food, stuck her in her walker, and hid her in the kitchen. Then, I thought, "Well, I'm a bad parent, because what if she chokes, and I shouldn't leave her unattended in the walker". So, I wheeled the walker closer to the shower, so that I could peek on her while I showered. Guess what? As soon as the shower started, Addie started crying. I was in there for a total of thirty seconds and I heard a higher pitched cry. I peeked out of the shower curtain to look at her, and she was head first on the floor, with her feet still stuck in the walker seat. I said a few choice words, and sat her on the floor to eat and play. Thankfully she was fine because she fell on carpet and not the kitchen floor. I just can't believe that she isn't even 8 months, and she is climbing out of the walker that is suppose to help her walk! My Grandma and Grandpa Stoker will love to know that I have finally found the solution for a quick shower, a child!

Summer!
Summer is here! We don't have the comforts of air conditioning in our little apartment, so we are trying to use small, window air conditioners. Adelynn's room is the worst for some reason, so she slept naked last night in order to help reduce the effects of the heat. Anyway, I saw this on a website and thought it was funny. I took Adelynn swimming for the first time yesterday, and what is with the dressing rooms at public pools? Yuck!
