First Slideshow!

We have had a fun month of June and I wanted to share some of our pictures with you all. I finally opened the last box (from moving) and found the adaptor for the camera. As a result, I am finally able to share some photos with you all. Enjoy!

Staying Alive!

First, I need to say thank you to all the family and friends who helped us move to our new apartment in Midvale. I have really appreciated everyone's kindness!
I have been wanting to post for several days now. I have a trillion pictures I would like to share with you all. But, I can't seem to get these boxes emptied. My adaptor to my camera is in a box still, and I keep thinking I will find it. But, I can barely keep up with Adelynn's messes, let alone finish going through these boxes. She just managed to empty all my DIRTY dishes out of the dishwasher onto the floor, and she currently has her diaper off and is sitting on her "big girl potty". Yes, in the middle of all this moving she has decided she wants to be a big girl. I'm excited, but it is also a lot of work. We were watching a movie one night and I couldn't find her. I went into the bathroom and she was naked, sitting on the toilet. I was SHOCKED! She has also graduated to a toddler bed due to the fact that she kept climbing out of her crib and fell on her head several times. These past few weeks I have realized the value of a full time job, and a babysitter (yes, Tiffany we miss you)!

On a lighter note, we are LOVING the city. We haven't made very many friends yet, due to the rainy weather. But, we go shopping almost everyday! I made Corey promise to NEVER move me to a small town again. I have only gotten lost in this big city once, and I'm learning to find my way around Salt Lake.

Yesterday Corey and I celebrated our anniversary (it has been four years)! Grandma and Grandpa Stoker watched Addie and we went and got haircuts (we're wild), went to Olive Garden, and saw "Up" in 3-D. It was super fun, and nice to have a break and think about everything we have been through together. Cheers to marriage!

Date Night!

I am completly exhausted tonight; with packing up the house, my classroom and entertaining children all day. Friday is here, and I needed a date night! Corey works for the next four nights, and I haven't seen Adelynn much this week. So, I had a date night with Addie! We rented "Marley and Me", my new favorite movie. And, since Adelynn totally LOVES dogs, she sat and watched almost the entire thing with me. She has never sat down and stayed calm for longer than ten minutes. But, we just cuddled on the couch and laughed, and cried to the most adorable movie. I love feel good movies that put my life back into perspective. Sometimes we need those to help us realize what is important in life: Relationships and Family!

New Adventure!

Since we found out about Corey's new job at LDS hospital in Salt Lake we have been super busy trying to put our lives together. Corey's truck has been on its last leg for about a year. So, we finally broke down and bought our neighbors car (it's a Hyundai Sonata). They gave us a SWEET deal, and we are excited to have two reliable vehicles now. Last Friday I sent Corey out to Salt Lake to find us a place to live. I had several women say that they would NEVER trust their husbands to find them a place. But, I must say he did a great job! We have decided to rent, and our new apartment will have a dishwasher (Woohoo), two bathrooms, and a swimming pool. I am thinking that we might actually have visitors since we have a pool, and hot tub to entice you with! I am just totally excited for summer with air conditioning, and I wont have to slave over a hot sink to wash dishes! You can't tell I am excited can you?!? Anyway, we will be residing in Midvale, it's close to Murray. So, you are all welcome to stop by and visit sometime after we get settled. Corey has already started orientations and he will be out in Salt Lake for most of this week. As for me I have got to make it through the next 7 1/2 days of school, and manage to say good-bye to my cute students. Then, we will be off to start a new adventure.

This is the picture of the pool, I haven't actually seen it, but this picture makes me anxious for summer!

Adelynn keeps us laughing everyday. One night she didn't want to go to bed, so she unbuttoned her pj's and found some old bows. She did this all on her own, and I had to take a picture. What a dork!

Too Much Excitement!

Things have been rather ordinary around here for the past month. But, within a few hours today, my WhOLe world has been turned upside down. It all started when I walked in the apartment after school, and Corey had just returned from Salt Lake with a brand new bike to say Happy Mother's Day to me. He spoils me, and I am way excited because I have never had my own bike, and I can't wait to get out of the house and go for a few rides. Thanks, again honey! Then, he was all bummed out about the fact that he had been to two job interviews with no success of getting a job. So, we were just depressed thinking that our lot in life was to stay in Roosevelt forever. Well, shortly after our talk about how we were just going to keep looking he got an e-mail saying they wanted to hire him! WOOHOO! Corey has a job at LDS hospital in Salt Lake. He will start orientation shortly, and will be coming and going between both jobs for the next few weeks. Thank goodness there are ONLY 15 1/2 days of school left. Because, somehow I have got to pack up my classroom and my home and move to a new home within the next three weeks. I don't know where to start. I feel so blessed that Corey got this job and I know it is going to be so great for us. We both wanted to cry when we found out because we are that much closer to our final goal. Wish us luck with all of our new life changes!

My new bike (with Addie's toys in the background).

Adelynn LoVeS the lamp shade on her head! She's such a light bulb.

She really just loves playing with the BoYs (We will miss our neighbor friends) :(

The neighbors are rather ambitious this year and
they have decided to plant a joint garden. This was the MEN pounding
in the posts to keep the kids out.

A few weeks ago I met up with Merr and Dezi to go shopping in Park City. I just wanted to give them a shout out, and tell them I had a good time!

Easter Fun!

Dying Eggs, Carter is very serious about it.

Adelynn trying to figure it all out. At one point I told her to pick up an egg and she said, "NO"
Cousins

Cute Kids!

We all got together for birthday's at Uncle Kevin's. He lit the candles with his blow torch.
The Stoker's always have something up their sleeves.

Easter Bunny came, but she only cared about the ball she got from cousin Makayla.

She stole Mom's ice cream and loved it!

Addie's favorite blankie that she bites for comfort!

Cheese!

I got to see my family, FINALLY. I hadn't seen them since Christmas. Here are a few pictures of our Easter weekend with the family. Unfortunatly, I was pretty sick with a nasty cold the whole time. But, other than that it was great to be able to see everyone.

Pine Wood Derby!

I bought some daffodils yesterday. Happy Spring to you all!

Corey's car going slower than the other car. : (

Diana, she defeated Charlie (behind her). Go Diana!

Corey with his car!

Our ward had an Elder's Quorom get together with all the families and had a Pine Wood Derby race. It was a lot of fun! Corey didn't have much success though. He had spent a lot of time on his car a few weeks ago. He had it cut out and painted. So, all he needed were the wheels and weights on. Well, he procrastinated, and didn't end up putting the car together until about two hours before the event, because I made him. I found out the hard way that it takes a lot of effort to just stick on the wheels and weights. It didn't take long before he was giving up on the whole deal. But, we went anyway, and he ran his car. It didn't get stuck on the track! But, it was one of the slower cars. In the end, he won the "Best Fuel Economy" prize, for having the slowest car. Even though Corey didn't do very well there is a happy ending. My home-girl, Diana, made a car and she won 2nd PLACE! I was so proud of her, and her mad skills.
As for our lives, things have gotten crazy this week. I've been overwhelmed with school, housework, and chasing Adelynn, but I am thankful that the Lord has given us a day of rest, and that's exactly what I am doing!
